The Fall of Facebook Sharing

We have all had the problem of Facebook not sharing our posts, and we all know the reason. They want us to buy the space. Now, in the beginning they had no problem letting all of our posts be seen and I wonder if this is for everyone, or only for the people and pages that they see trying to promote their selves. Is there a solution to this problem?  What can we do to get our information out there without paying a hefty price and spending all of our waking hours constantly pasting our links to other sites?  Any thoughts?.....
