                              ALONE

You sit at home in your room alone,
With tear stains down your face.
Hold your blade to your skin,
Just do it again,
Nothing's going to change.

                                                      Your friends are gone,
                                                      They're all having fun,
But here you are in pain,
                                                      No one's thinking,
                                                      That maybe you're breaking,
And holding that gun in place.

                                                       Just one more move,
                                                       It could all be through,
                                                       Nothing would be the same.
                                                       But you'll be gone,
                                                       And they're having fun,
Then you leave here with a bang.

An Angel Lit The Way - Makayla Redmon

He touched me softly, causing a tingly sensation to run through my body. I could feel his breath on the back of my neck, I caught a slight hint of the spearmint gum in his mouth. It was nice because Josh hasn’t touched me in a while, ever since we adopted Amelia.

She’s been acting weird talking to herself, she says she’s talking to the angels. Hard to believe. Otherwise, she is perfect with her porcelain skin and rosy cheeks. She’s sweet and always helpful and does well in school.

Amelia screamed and I ran to her. I found her in the floor and to my dis belief, wings were sprouting from her shoulder blades. They are beautiful but bloody and the scent of it, intoxicating.

The feathered wings were pearl white and I don’t know why I am so amazed at the sight of an angel. I always thought they were a myth, just as I am. I may be a vampire but I’m no dummy.

Now that they’re done sprouting, she has calmed down… But she says to me, “There’s a cure!”

“A cure for what?” I asked.

She said “A cure for you.”

What does she mean, a cure for me?  I am a vampire! There’s no cure for me!

As I watch her, tattoos form on her face. It’s a sun and a compass pointing North.  What is happening to her?

“Amelia,” I say very calmly as I stroke her hair. “Do you know what’s happening to you?”

“They told me” she answers.

“They told you what?”

“It’s a map with to a cure for you.” She shut her eyes and has fallen into a deep sleep.

I screamed for Josh and he ran in to see what the problem is. I explained what happened to Amelia and told him about the cure and the map.

“That’s impossible!” He exclaimed.

“We need to figure out this map.” I said as I pointed out the sun and compass on Amelia’s face.

“What about North of the equator?”

“Europe. The place we need to go is Europe!” I hurried online and bought airplane tickets for this afternoon. As we packed, Amelia awoke and for each good thing she managed to do, a new addition to the map appeared. 2232 Angel Boulevard was one of them. Of course Angel Boulevard.

Now that we’re in Europe, we’ll rent a car and visit Angel Boulevard. The drive is short according to the GPS.

After a few minutes, we have arrived in front of an abandoned building.

Upon entering we find that there is no one here. Nothing but a dusty old bookshelf that Amelia is standing against. Now it glows and it’;s opening up! A scrawny old man is gawking at us! As I move closer to him I notice he has wings as well!

“Ahh, the map! Come in, come in!” he gestures us forward. “So, you’re looking for the cure! The cure is a dangerous mission! No man, woman or vampire has ever come back!”

I step forward and bow my head, “I’m willing to risk my immortality for this.” I stammered.

“There will be witches, daemons, warlocks and much more! You must be prepared! So, you will train here!”

“I thought you couldn’t kill deamons.” I say nervously.

“You can’t, but you can send them back to their hellish lands!” he replied.

“How do I do that?” I ask him.

“You will learn.”

The Lady and the Vamp -  Makayla Redmon

I, Mariah Guzman am a young, wealthy, rebellious lady whom still lives in New York City never left even though I’m rich. I live in a four story mansion, six bathrooms, and 15 bedrooms. Tuesday night when I went to a bar the first time in a while, wearing an slim fitting black dress and black net leggings, I had my hair curled to look more seductive this all made me look naughty real naughty. I plopped down on a bar stool, next to a strange pale man whom looked very sick. Strangely he was appealing to me, not because he is sick but he is sexy with his ruffled black hair and deep brown eyes or is that gold. I could tell this one is different. I whispered in his ear saying dance with me pulling him to the dance floor I danced around him the lights all around flickering, people everywhere dancing I asked him his name he could hear the hearts beating rapidly of every human in there he could smell perspiration and antidepressant. Then he realized I was talking to him, he yelled what I can’t hear you over the noise, I yelled back what is your name? He yelled back saying Josh McIntyre, instead of yelling back to me he dragged me off the dance floor and then he said in a soft, calm voice what is your name beautiful? I blushed and said Mariah Guzman, I exclaimed that he looked really pale she offered to care for him till he was better he laughed and said I don’t know in a sarcastic voice I whined but I haven’t did my one good deed yet today and whispered In his ear or my one naughty deed either, I lead him to my car it was an Mercedes we talked the entire way home about random stuff like Christmas, if heaven and hells real, and some stuff about ourselves. He thought he would only stay one night that he couldn't keep up this charade. The following morning he thanked me by offering to take mua yes mua to dinner. I said I don't know, knowing I wanted to go clubbing tonight, but josh insisted I stomped my feet did my best pouty face crossed my arms over my chest and said fine. That night after I went shopping for a couple new outfits from the mall, they went to Joe bob's shack, best steak and ribs in town. I walked in wearing this light baby blue blouse and denim jeans with a brown belt with her thin boots that curved my leg just perfectly just the way the rest of the outfit did I was beautiful no not beautiful gorgeous, I could feel Josh staring at me soaking in every detail of my curved, sexy body.  That’s when it hit him  he liked me like really liked me no not liked what is another word for this feeling it’s, it’s that he loved me it isn’t the blood lust but real life heart pounding love, he could tell I  was nervous he could hear my human heart beating at a rapid pace. He thought to himself I have to tell her if I ever want to be with her. I walked over and sat down he asked me how you doing sexy? Making me blush I’m good I said how about you hot stuff? And I playfully punched his arm we both laughed, his first good, real laugh in a long time.  We were at table four someone was holding up table three  we called the waiter over the women said just hold on a second now sir it is either the fried omelet or sushi for your side if you want both you have to pay extra, The buff man yelled that’s outrageous she called security. She came over now we can put a name to the woman she is named Kellie, she chuckled as the security guards rushed in and threw the guy and his family out she said all loud and clear cheapskate. Then she smiled, turned to us and asked us how may I take your order in a fake New York accent. I ordered a steak with mashed potatoes and gravy, Josh ordered nothing for him but I will have a strawberry margarita for the beautiful lady. I asked him how come he is not getting anything? I felt like a pig when I was the only one eating I offered to share some of my steak with him he just said no thank you I’m not hungry. He was actually starving but that wasn’t what he wanted, he wanted blood he haven’t had any in two weeks he looked horrible everyone already noticed but didn’t care much he asked if he could ask me a question, you just asked me one I said and I laughed and said of course well Mariah Guzman here’s my question he kissed me I felt sparks in the air I felt like I couldn’t breathe when he left my mouth I was panting. He asked your answer? And I said yes I will go out with you, a million times yes I thought in my head. A few good years later we had decided to marry and adopt a child why not have a baby because I know about his problem I accept it and because of it we can never have babies it would kill me but the little nine year old girl she was just so sweet and beautiful with her blonde hair and rosy cheeks she looked like a porcelain doll with her skin she helpful in every way. But what we didn't know she was an angel from heaven and the girl doesn't even know it either. See more in my next book an angel of light: can he be human again?
